What I collect: nothing
There’s nothing to sign up for here, no form to fill out, no newsletter, no login, and nothing to buy. The site never asks for your name, your email, or any other personal information — so it never has any to keep, lose, or share.
No cookies, no analytics, no tracking
This site sets no cookies. It runs no analytics — no Google Analytics, no visitor counter, nothing measuring who reads what. There are no advertising pixels, no tracking scripts, and no third-party trackers following you from page to page or off to anywhere else. I’m not building a profile of you, because I’m not collecting anything to build one with.
The two companies that help deliver this page
I want to be straight about the one technical wrinkle, because “no tracking of any kind” deserves the honest footnote. Every website you open works by your browser asking a server for the page — and that request necessarily tells the server your IP address and basic device and browser information. That’s how the internet works, on every site you visit. For this site, two outside companies are part of delivering the page and therefore see that ordinary request data:
- Cloudflare hosts the site and serves it to you (it’s built on Cloudflare Pages). Cloudflare keeps routine server logs, the same as any web host.
- Google Fonts supplies the two typefaces this page uses. Because the fonts load from Google’s servers, your browser fetches them from Google, which receives your IP address and browser type for that request. Google states it does not use Google Fonts requests to build advertising profiles.
Neither company is given anything by me to identify you, I don’t receive or look at that data, and I don’t combine it with anything. Beyond those two, there are no other embeds, scripts, or third-party services on these pages.
About the “quick exit” button
Every page has a quick-exit button that sends you away to a neutral website fast. One honest caution: it cannot erase your tracks. Leaving a page doesn’t remove it from your browser’s history or its back button. If you’re worried that someone may be monitoring your device, consider using a private or incognito browsing window, and clear your history when you’re done.
If you’re in danger, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788).
Children
This is general information written for adults, and it isn’t directed to children. I don’t knowingly collect information from anyone — children included — because I don’t collect information at all.
Other sites I link to
When a page links out to another website, that site isn’t mine, and I’m not responsible for its content or its privacy practices. If you follow a link, the privacy policy on the other end is theirs, not this one.
If this policy changes
If anything here changes, I’ll update this page and the date below. There’s no mailing list, so the current version is always simply the one posted here.
